Welcome to the Web-site for Christ Church, Eston and Saint George's, Normanby. We are a team parish of two Anglican Churches on the South East edge of Middlesbrough. Although the area has been heavily industrialised in the past, we are only about ten minutes drive from the North York Moors, or the sea-side: this really is a beautiful place to live and work.
On Sunday mornings both Saint George's and Christ Church express their worship slightly differently as we try to be relevant to the places in which we are situated. Our overall aim is to be a warm and friendly place where people can explore what it means to follow Jesus
As a foundation, we believe that the Bible is God's word to us. It is an amazing book, crammed full of exciting stories and rich promises, as well as containing God's guidelines for a rich and full life. Part of being true to God involves learning to be true to His word, it is an expression of our trust in Him.
We also look for God to move among us by His Holy Spirit. The Bible shows us how, because He loves us, God wants to be involved in every area of our lives.
Jesus came to bring life… life in all its fullness. By God's grace we have found that life, and our deepest desire is to share something of that life with others, especially in the community where God has placed us.
